Video Editor Lead
OVERVIEW
The Video Editor Lead is responsible for overseeing/delivery of high quality video content. This position participates in creative brainstorming meetings and uses imagination and artistry to tell a story through video to further enhance Sun's brand story through finished marketing videos.
JOB DUTIES
- Produces promotional and informational video for multiple channels, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and more.
- Creating stories through video, including shooting (video, photography, audio and lighting), reviewing and critiquing video content.
- Collaborates with marketing leadership and the creative team on projects and campaigns with the purpose of enhancing marketing content through video storytelling.
- Creating stories through video, including reviewing and critiquing video content.
- Participates in brainstorming and creative meetings to help bring campaigns to life from a video perspective, using imagination and artistry to elevate Sun''s branding.
- Reviews creative briefs and understands all goals and objectives and applies leadership and marketing vision in creating content stories.
- Contributes to brainstorms and meetings with a vision of how to incorporate video within marketing campaign and projects.
- Collaborates with the marketing team on creative vision and execution with story boards or videos through imagery and discussion.
- Manages and assigns edits of B-roll and footage within Sun''s Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool, including uploading footage for future use cases and projects, editing, cutting, and color correcting incoming footage, and tagging metadata to video footage.
- Collaborates with managers and strategists to identify the needs and specifications of different video projects, and works within tight deadlines to finish the creative deliverables on time.
- Other duties and special projects, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in in Video Production, Graphic Design, or Fine Arts (Required)
- 7 years experience demonstrated video editing experience and a strong portfolio
- 7 years cross-platform production, multi-platform content generation, and social media experience
- 2 years experience in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, manage and drive a team
- Ability to travel by car or plane with overnight stays as required: 15-25%
- Strong knowledge of digital technology and editing software packages, primarily the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects)
- Strong knowledge and familiarity with timing, motivation, continuity and other filmmaking techniques
- Knowledge of special effects, 2D animation, motion graphics, typography and compositing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
