Job Summary

The Utilities Project & Compliance Specialist provides regulatory compliance support to the Director, Utilities & Infrastructure, Operations teams, and Construction Services partners by ensuring water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure systems adhere to applicable federal, state, and local regulatory requirements across the United States. This professional will be responsible for managing and monitoring permit conditions, coordinating compliance activities, supporting regulatory reporting, issuing formal compliance responses, and will be assisting with addressing agency communications related to the Utility's portfolio.

Job Duties

  • Manages, tracks, and gathers all Utility regulatory compliance notices, communications, and reports for Water, Wastewater, and Infrastructure. (Essential)
  • Compiles responses to address any regulatory agency concern; Monitors respective regulatory issues to ensure compliant responses. (Essential)
  • Maintains and tracks respective utility portfolio assets to ensure all portfolio aspects are up-to-date. (Essential)
  • Organizes, tracks, and updates all respecctive permit requirements as it relates to Water, Wastewater, and Infrastructure compliance to ensure milestones are captured and addressed. (Essential)
  • Issues community notices to support resident facing communications and alerts to remain in compliance with all regulatory requirements. (Essential)
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Drafts and maintains Standard Operating Procedures and Utility programs for both Construction Services and Operations teams.
  • Leverages Microsoft Suite products to address, collect, and document public supply annual reports as it relates to general water use to remain in compliance with the state of Florida.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and disseminates property-related utility expenses to articulate budget needs for Operations leaders.
  • Maintains and reviews compliance paperwork (DMR, MOR) to identify failures, passings, overages, etc., to escalate and address accordingly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 3 years in construction management, utilities, environmental compliance, or similar areas. (Required)
  • 1 year in demonstrated experience in utilizing Microsoft Office suite products for program management (Required)
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both field leadership and senior leadership
  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings and utility compliance permits
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Ability to foster relationships and collaborate across business units to leverage success
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Preferred Certifications/Licensures:(Drinking Water & Waste Water Operator License )
