UX/UI Designer

Main Office (MOS)




UX/UI Designers provide direction and cohesiveness to internal and external customer interfaces. They work hand-in-hand with project and business team members to understand how Sun team members and external customers interact with platforms on a variety of projects. Using this knowledge, UX/UI designers help to translate and advise on design for the best customer experiences possible.



  • Creates wireframes, mockups, sitemaps and prototypes that are designed to enhance and delight a customer and team member digital experience with Sun
  • Tracks and applies results from user research and usability testing to create new features and improve current features
  • Collaborates effectively with internal and external project teams and developers
  • Manages project expectations and timing effectively
  • Provides expertise across varied platforms, including desktop applications, web applications, mobile responsive web applications, and iOS and Android mobile apps
  • Educates team members and implements ADA design requirements for digital platforms
  • Works hand-in-hand with Sun team members to elevate the customer experience
  • Engages in clarification and problem-solves in an opportunistic way
  • Researches and gains in-depth knowledge of the Sun customer and team member experience
  • Leads collaborative discussions and presentations regarding projects/assignments while incorporating all viewpoints, specifically the customer and team members viewpoint
  • Proactively seeks and identifies additional opportunities within Suns project portfolio
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned




  • Bachelor's Degree in Design, HCI, Marketing, Computer Science, IT, or other related field. (Required)
  • 3 years experience in web content management system
  • 1 year experience in web analytics, interactive design, web development/design, HTML5 and CSS 
  • 1 year experience with desktop and mobile designs
  • 1 year experience creating designs that account for ADA accessibility compliance
  • Established familiarity with iOS and Android UI/UX standards
  • Familiarity with various graphic design software packages
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Understanding of web production concepts, practices and procedures
  • Flexibility to quickly shift priorities based on business demands
  • Proactively stays informed of the latest design trends and standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Designs that account for ADA accessibility compliance
