Product Owner - Customer Portal
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a strategic, user-centric Product Owner to lead the vision, development, and continuous improvement of our Customer Portal—a core digital experience for our residents and guests. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker with a deep understanding of digital customer engagement, preferably within the property management or real estate industry. They will enhance our digital tools to elevate the customer journey—from application through the full resident lifecycle by helping to shape the product roadmap, prioritize development efforts, and ensure our digital products deliver measurable value to stakeholders.
JOB DUTIES
- Define, communicate, and prioritize product roadmaps, feature enhancements, and release plans based on customer insights, business goals, stakeholder input, and technology trends.
- Gather and translate feedback from residents, business stakeholders, and internal users into actionable product features and requirements.
- Work closely with the business analyst and development team in an agile environment to ensure clear requirements and timely delivery of features.
- Partner with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and elegant digital experiences.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and champion for portal functionality and digital resident engagement within the company.
- Monitor usage metrics, user feedback, and market trends to inform ongoing enhancements and innovations.
- Continuously advance theCustomer Portalto deliver value, ease of use, and engagement across the resident lifecycle.
- May expand responsibilities to lead additional projects, such asinternal team member mobile app or other digital products.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in in Business, Computer Science, or a related field (Required)
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or related role in digital product development
- 1 year building/managing customer portals, especially in the property management or real estate industry
- Proven ability to balancestrategic thinkingwithhands-on execution
- Familiarity with web and mobile app development and platform best practices (iOS)
- Excellent skills inrequirements gathering,road mapping,user story creation, andagile development
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Adept at interpreting analytics and customer feedback to drive product decisions
- Familiarity with integration points between customer portals and ERP or property management systems, preferred
- Understanding of secure portal login experiences, digital payment tools, self-service workflows, and use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance user experience, preferred
