Payment Processes Manager

Position Summary

The Payment Processes Manager will focus their efforts on overseeing payment processing systems with a strong emphasis on merchant credit card processing. They will have oversight of Suns merchant processors, payment gateway vendors and work closely with the companys reservation and POS systems. The Payment Processes Manager will support the Treasury and Accounting teams as needed with reconciliations and other payment related inquiries and have roles on Treasury-related projects, working closely with other departments including IT as well as Strategy and Transformation to seek opportunities to improve, create and implement processes and systems for both the department and company.

Duties

  1. Acts as lead or co-lead in managing projects involving treasury, banking and payment processing.
  2. Works with subject matter experts to identify system, process and reporting requirements; identifies solutions to optimize efficiencies, policies and procedures.
  3. Maintains first level communication with merchant card processors and payment gateway vendors.
  4. Maintains first level communication with software vendors where payments are being processed including Suns reservation and POS systems and 3rd party payment processors.
  5. Creates and maintains an inventory of portfolio wide payment gateway and merchant processing accounts.
  6. Administers and supports payment gateway and merchant processing account user access and entitlements.
  7. Maintains the project scope, requirements and deliverables related to Treasury.
  8. Takes a lead role on projects and facilitates efforts, communicating to team leads as needed.
  9. Takes ownership of credit card processing administration, provides support and troubleshooting as necessary.
  10. Provides internal support to team member questions and assists in various areas including check scanning, ACH rent payments and 3rd party payment vendors.
  11. Maintains various Treasury-related forms and documents in intranet; ensures accuracy and implements updates as needed.
  12. Maintains bank relationships along with Treasury Supervisor as necessary.
  13. Maintains written procedures to ensure adequate support during scheduled absences.
  14. Takes a lead role in researching and staying current on trends and upcoming changes and requirements as it relates to payment processing.
  15. Collaborates with Senior Management and other departments to evaluate, plan, test and implement new and/or upgraded cash receipt processes, including integration with current and new POS/reservation systems.
  16. Serves as a point of escalation and contact for any concerns or issues deemed a risk to the company whether fraudulent, inaccurate or incomplete pertaining to Treasury duties and/or financial information.
  17. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Required)
  • 3 years project management or related
  • 3 years cash management responsibilites
  • 2 years credit card processing
  • 2 years general ledger responsibilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships without forfeiting profitability
  • Extensive knowledge of project management tools and procedures
  • Strong knowledge of merchant credit card processing
  • Advanced computer proficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent organizational skills
