Mobile Application Product Marketing Manager

Position Summary

The Product Marketing Manager, Mobile Application is responsible for the marketing component of the Sun Outdoors mobile application, including research, booking, guest profiles, loyalty, and on-resort experience under the guidance of the Vice President, Marketing Operations. This position will collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop a clear understanding of how guests interact with the application in order to introduce and utilize features that users desire most. They will pair customer insights with marketing expertise to define campaign strategy and creative decisions, in order to drive growth of the channel.


  1. Leverages analytics and customer segmentation to better understand application (app) customer journeys and behaviors.
  2. Leads the creation of marketing plans for the Sun Outdoors application, including evaluation of marketing channels/partners, acquisition and retention initiative to drive downloads, engagement and conversation through the application
  3. Serves as an advocate for the application within the broader organization
  4. Collaborates with internal CRM (Customer Relationship Management), Creative, and Social Media teams to conceptualize, plan, and execute campaigns to generate top funnel awareness and long-term engagement
  5. Oversees application marketing channels ensuring user and interface design delivers a best in class customer experience, high performance and supports the overall marketing strategies
  6. Collaborates with other teams to further define vision, strategy, and provide insight to support application roadmap decisions.
  7. Maintains digital marketing budgets for the mobile application, including negotiating contracts with media and digital platform vendors
  8. Provides input into the marketing strategy and strategic plan as a key member of the marketing leadership team
  9. Leads and applies ideas on digital trends, innovations, and technologies to build and maintain a strong company digital presence
  10. Partners with vendors and internal departments on web development initiatives, including providing input on performance measures and quality control processes to assist with defining roadmap requirements
  11. Leads digital marketing and technology teams to resolve digital channel production issues, concerns, and improvements
  12. Collaborates with internal teams to provide insight on the implementation of digital channel measurements to ensure campaign tracking and statistics are captured for all initiatives
  13. Other duties and special projects as assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in in Marketing, Project Management, Creative, Business Development, or related field. (Required)
  • 3 years mobile application marketing experience
  • 3 years in a leadership role with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and drive team member performance
  • 5 years marketing experience
  • 2 years experience using Salesforce software, specifically Marketing Cloud, Ad Studio, and Datorama
  • Dynamic self-starter that is comfortable with ambiguity and eager to make a large impact on a growing organization in both strategy and marketing
  • Strong analytic acumen and comfort in a data-driven environment; clear understanding of quantitative marketing concepts
  • Collaborative and tech savvy, with experience partnering with engineering and project management teams to guide application development
  • Positive attitude and strong collaboration skills with various stakeholder groups
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, marketing, and planning skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to quickly shift priorities based on business demands
  • Autonomous leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment
