Job Summary

The Manager, Enterprise Systems provides strategic leadership and operational excellence across Sun’s enterprise applications portfolio. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Enterprise Systems, this role acts as a trusted advisor and execution partner, ensuring system initiatives align with organizational priorities. The Manager, Enterprise Systems, establishes and evolves system management standards, mentors the Enterprise Systems Team, and ensures seamless product ownership across core business systems. As both a leader and a hands-on contributor, this position drives innovation, builds team capability, and ensures systems are configured and supported with a customer centric mindset. Success in this role requires strong judgment, adaptability, and the ability to operate with urgency and precision in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

Job Duties

  • Oversee a diverse portfolio of enterprise applications, including but not limited to Sun’s enterprise resource planning solution, procurement platform, and RV reservations system. (Essential)
  • Leads collaborative efforts to ensure systems operate smoothly and are supported with a customer-centric approach. (Essential)
  • Partners with Innovation & Technology team leadership to assess and refine Sun's enterprise system management standards, methodologies and best practices. (Essential)
  • Provides daily management and oversight to the Enterprise Systems Team. (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Oversees system roadmap and configuration across enterprise applications.
  • Maintains and develops expertise in software capabilities, both current and on future release roadmap.
  • Guides the Enterprise Systems Team in partnering with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform and gain buy-in on the product, vision, strategy, features, and prioritization.
  • Establishes, reviews, and maintains internal documentation to support system administration standard procedures.
  • Works collaboratively with cross functional teams to coordinate system implementations and upgrades including timing, testing, and rollout.
  • Collaborates with all levels of system support and ticket management to ensure efficient escalation and resolution of issues, and to maintain excellent customer service standards for the organization.
  • Handles property acquisition, disposition, and conversion support across enterprise applications.
  • Directs the actions of the Enterprise Systems Team in relation to dashboard and workflow building and maintenance.
  • Acts as relationship management point of contact and escalation with key software vendor contacts for enterprise applications.
  • Addresses and resolves issues and conflicts to ensure optimal outcomes for the Sun team.
  • Researches emerging trends, including AI capabilities, that may apply to the enterprise and drives adoption strategy.
  • Drives feature requests with software vendors, project support teams, and the internal development team.
  • Leverages enterprise collaboration tools to drive clear communication, stakeholder alignment, and transparency.
  • Assigns the Enterprise Systems Team resources and prioritizes efforts, ensuring efficient utilization and enterprise support.
  • Establishes processes to track, perform, and support required information technology general controls.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (Required)
  • 7 years in in product ownership, system administration, or system support role (Required)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Proven record of continually seeking learning opportunities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven record of collaboration across stakeholder groups
  • Ability to understand and translate the voice of business customers
  • Ability to think creatively to solve customer requests using configuration
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and reporting skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio
  • Ability to take initiative and embrace change
  • Knowledge of configuration and support best practices and methodologies
  • Strong judgement and critical thinking to distinguish between urgency and importance
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Must have a valid driver's license
