Insurance Specialist
Overview
Job Duties
- Identify customer needs and quote, present, sell, service, and retain property and casualty insurance policies and home warranty products, including renter’s insurance, brokered home sale policies, and other applicable coverages (Essential)
- Educate customers about available insurance and home warranty products, coverage options, policy requirements, premiums, payments, and required documentation through phone, email, DocuSign, and other approved communication platforms (Essential)
- Receive, process, maintain, and organize insurance documents, policy records, carrier information, warranty premium payment schedules, and related files (Essential)
- Maintain insurance information and documentation within the Insurance & Warranty Dashboard in NetSuite and other applicable tracking systems (Essential)
- Generate new business opportunities by proactively following up on leads, developing prospective customers, cross-selling insurance, and warranty products, and supporting retention and renewal efforts (Essential)
- Maintain all required insurance licenses, complete required continuing education, and comply with applicable laws, regulations, carrier procedures, and company documentation standards
- Research customer concerns, resolve policy and service issues within established authority, and escalate matters requiring carrier or management review while providing a high level of customer service
- Assist with organizing and maintaining office records and work areas to promote an efficient work environment
- Partner with Marketing to develop and maintain insurance-related promotional materials
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 2 years in of customer service experience (Preferred)
- 2 years in of sales experience (Preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to work well with others inside as well as outside the company
- Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, email, the internet, and provide data entry in a timely and efficient manner
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Required Certifications/Licensures:(Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance License license within the first 30 days of employment )
