Do you have experience with Property & Casualty Insurance? Join our team at Sun Communities and embark on an exciting new opportunity! We are looking for an Insurance Specialist to provide administrative and general business support for an individual who sells and retains property and casualty insurance-related policies.


  1. Performs general administrative duties such as typing, copying, and answering phones.
  2. Interacts with clients regarding policy payments, claim questions, etc.
  3. Quotes insurance policies for additional cash and brokered home sales, as well as tenant (renter’s) policies.
  4. Maintains insurance carrier information, warranty premium payment schedules, and various spreadsheets. Prepares, prints, or exports spreadsheets as requested.
  5. Completes and maintains files for various documents.
  6. Maintains insurance software, ensuring to download updates as needed.
  7. Maintains agent and agency licenses. Updates and maintains Bright Insurance manual as needed.
  8. Assists with organizing and maintaining office area to ensure an efficient working environment.
  9. Creates flyers and notices as requested.
  10. Researches and assists with resolving customer issues as needed.
  11. Other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative experience
  • Property & Casualty Insurance License or course completion towards obtaining license
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong organization skills with an attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others inside as well as outside the company
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency, with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, email, the internet, and provide data entry in a timely and efficient manner
