OVERVIEW

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for oversight, maintenance, and upkeep of Sun’s corporate ancillary facilities—its research & development center and outdoor glamping village. The position independently ensures the facilities are in a clean and orderly condition and maintains responsibility for all physical aspects of the facilities. The Facilities Supervisor constantly works to improve the facilities, ensuring they best meet the needs of the Sun team.

 

JOB DUTIES

  1. Acts as the ultimate steward of Sun’s corporate office ancillary facilities, ensuring they’re maintained at the highest level.
  2. Constantly monitors the facilities, proactively identifies issues and opportunities, and takes action to address all items.
  3. Manages contractors/third-party vendors who provide various construction, maintenance, and delivery services.
  4. Develops and executes a holistic maintenance schedule for the facilities.
  5. Collaborates with stakeholders at Sun to ensure the facilities meet the needs of Sun’s team.
  6. Sources and procures all needed materials to effectively operate the ancillary facilities.
  7. Strategically develops and executes a thoughtful hospitality program for the facilities inclusive of beverages, kitchen supplies, meeting materials, maintenance tools, and office supplies. 
  8. Prepares for meetings and events held at the facilities inclusive of cleaning, arranging meeting spaces, and preparing hospitality service.
  9. Collaborates with Sun’s corporate facilities team to best support Sun’s team members at the ancillary facilities. 
  10. Occasionally oversees facility improvement projects. Creates and provides progress reports for Sun leadership and project stakeholders.
  11. Acts as a company liaison between building management and Sun, maintaining the company’s best interests.
  12. Executes established security protocols. 
  13. Develops and maintains documentation for all facility-related procedures. 
  14. Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 4 years facilities or hospitality support experience (Required)
  • 2 years customer service experience (Required)
  • Extensive knowledge of building maintenance functions
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Passion for creating a positive workplace environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation throughout the working day
  • Ability to understand and carry-out verbal and written instructions
  • Knowledge of standard methods and practices of janitorial duties
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to follow safety procedures while performing duties
  • Ability to handle sensitive and/or stressful situations with tact, discretion and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to at least lift 50 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot meeting/audio-visual equipment, preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to interact well with others and provide exceptional customer service
  • Computer proficiency including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and various SAAS applications.
  • Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours and on weekends
