Director, National Food & Beverage

Position Summary

The Director, National Food & Beverage will oversee all aspects of food service operations at Sun RV Resorts including food safety, team development, supply chain and product development. This individual will design and implement impactful dining and entertainment experiences for resort guests and ensure profitable operation of all Sun RV Resort food service outlets.

Duties

  1. Coaches, continuously develops and oversees resort food service teams.
  2. Oversees food safety and quality assurance, creation and maintenance of restaurant menus, product innovation, promotional offers, regulatory compliance and loss prevention, pricing and supply chain.
  3. Develops strategic goals for food service business.
  4. Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  5. Adheres to Suns Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.
  6. Partners with Team Relations on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.
  7. Conducts team member performance reviews and recommends compensation adjustments.
  8. Institutes and formalizes food safety and quality controls to ensure compliance in all operating food service areas.
  9. Improves operating margins through strategic sourcing and development of operating best practices.
  10. Creates programs and promotions to profitably increase diner counts and unit sales.
  11. Develops, monitors and reports financial and operating KPIs.
  12. Supports resort operations management (RM, RVP, DVP, SVP) in analysis of food service P&Ls.
  13. Leads and supports annual budget and capital planning.
  14. Partners effectively across internal and external teams.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 10+ years leadership experience in retail food service management, retail operations and/or consumer product
  • 2 years experience in remotely overseeing multi-unit and multi-location operations
  • Ability to understand, interpret and analyze financial and cost management data
  • Ability to operate successful change management
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of food safety, operations and supply chain
  • Ability to respond to business needs after normal business hours.
  • Ability to travel by car or plane with overnight stays as required: 40-60%
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Advanced computer proficiency
