OVERVIEW

The Director, Marketing Systems owns the Salesforce Marketing Cloud product suite. They will lead internal and agency teams to configure and maintain Salesforce Marketing Cloud to ensure continued delivery of innovative and high quality solutions. They will be the go to expert on Interaction Studio, ExactTarget, Social Studio, Ad Studio, Mobile Studio, Medallia (NPS), and ensure Sun Communities is leading the industry in marketing automation and customer engagement.

JOB DUTIES

  • Uses CRM, external sources and proprietary software to identify, generate, gather, verify, review, research, analyze, comprehend, interpret, and report key performance indicators and financials.
  • Analyzes variances and data trends and prepares reports, charts and other outputs to convert information into insightful findings and actionable recommendations to optimize existing and future operations.
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to Suns Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.
  • Partners with Team Relations on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.
  • Conducts team member performance reviews and recommends compensation adjustments.
  • Serves as a super user of business intelligence tools (such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, DatoRama, Einstein, and third-party systems) to ensure adoption across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads integration teams and build use cases for tools such as Medallia for our Net Promotor Scores, Interaction Studio, Content Personalization, GA360, Litmus, Consent Hub, Campaign Manager/SFMC.
  • Works closely with corporate, regional, property leaders and partners to identify areas where marketing cloud and marketing automation will improve business.
  • Works with SF Admins and SF Developers to ensure optimal connectivity between Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.
  • Assists leadership with the implementation of new processes identified through data and system efficiencies.
  • Collaborates with other leaders in the marketing department to evaluate intra-department metrics and provide recommendations on future opportunities.
  • Works closely with VP, Marketing and operational VPs to understand operational budgets, revenue projections and KPI metrics to identify pricing and promotional opportunities.
  • Collaborates with marketing team to identify and implement marketing to support sales goals to include advertising, collateral, trade shows and open house events and initiatives.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in statistics, data analytics, or equivalent (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (Preferred)
  • 5 years subject matter expertise in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, email channel
  • 1 year writing guidance and playbooks
  • 3 years combined in marketing, agency, or marketing support
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
