Director, Investor Relations

As the Director, Investor Relations you'll work collaboratively with the organization to successfully implement an investor relations and financial communications plan in support of the overall business strategy. You'll act as the company's primary spokesperson and will liaise with senior leaders to create a unified investor relations narrative and plan. Responsibilities include analyzing and interpreting financial, operational and other related data for the company, its competitors and other market players to prepare financial and other material press releases, presentations, scripts, talking points, Q&A documents and other key messages. You'll collaborate with many departments and levels, including senior and executive management..


  1. Provides financial and analytical investor relations related communications support to executive team and contributes to ad hoc analyses in support of the investor relations function as necessary.
  2. Builds relationships with the sell-side and buy-side analyst community and acts as the primary spokesperson for investors and research analysts.
  3. Assists with planning, preparation and distribution of documents including earnings and other material press releases and presentations, earning script, Q&A documents, talking points and key messages for investor day presentations.
  4. Conducts investor targeting for investor conferences, nondeal roadshows and other investor meetings.
  5. Maintains the investor relations calendar, including scheduling investor/analyst calls, earnings conference calls, investor conferences, investor days, nondeal roadshows and onsite meetings.
  6. Monitors competitor and market information obtained from analyst reports and media sources; compiles relevant information into summaries from distribution to key internal associates.
  7. Manages investor inquires and requests for information, as directed by senior management and other functional teams at the company.
  8. Reviews financial, market, analyst reports and materials prepared by others for factual correctness and key conclusions and accuracy.
  9. Manages content for the investor relations section of the company website.
  10. Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  11. Adheres to Sun’s Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.
  12. Partners with Team Relations on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.
  13. Conducts team member performance reviews and recommends compensation adjustments.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, preferred
  • 8 years experience in investor relations/finance/consulting/planning and development for a public company
  • Ability to travel by car or plane with overnight stays as required:  15-25%
  • Strong ability to drive multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to communicate complex information in an easy to understand format
  • Ability to maintain strong relationships with sell-side and by-side analyst community
  • Excellent public presentation capabilities in front of internal and external audiences of all sizes
  • Ability to travel to investor conferences and property tours, as needed
  • Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, Crystal Reports and Lotus Notes
  • Advanced interpersonal and training skills
