OVERVIEW

The Data Analyst will facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures for Sun. They will be responsible for the assembly, analysis and summarization of data to guide and corroborate business decisions. They will be responsible for constructing data and process models and interpreting data for business users. The Data Analyst will work closely with the data architecture team, ERP project teams, business leadership and stakeholders under the leadership of the Business Intelligence Manager to assist with the design, validation and implementation of the new enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence applications.

JOB DUTIES

  • Conducts in-depth analysis of reporting, data analysis requests and needs for entire company.
  • Interprets data using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Actively collaborates with data architecture team, business teams, project teams, and others to ensure analytic needs are considered and a part of all related projects.
  • Builds/facilitates reports and dashboards, data analysis, and collaborates with business users using business intelligence tools and other data analysis tools.
  • Oversees and develops ad-hoc predictive modeling (what-if scenarios).
  • Maintains and assists in maintaining business documentation for the data and data structure including, but not limited to, requirement documents, data dictionary, and business glossary.
  • Serves as a subject matter expert for business intelligence reporting and Suns reporting tools.
  • Creates working reporting prototypes in excel or in other BI tools for future functionality.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Participates in the development of the BI data analytics program in collaboration with business users and BI developers.
  • Audits current BI capabilities and participates in the efforts to identify the right BI reporting system for the company.
  • Involved in the implementation of user-focused tools to enable self-service functionality for ongoing data needs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Required)
  • 2 years of experience in SQL
  • Prior experience in manufactured housing or real estate industry (Preferred)
  • Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with data exploration/visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI Looker, etc. (Required)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well with others inside as well as outside the organization
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python or R (Preferred).
  • Experience with Domo (Preferred)
  • 3 Years of experience as a BI professional or as a Data Analyst in an enterprise set up, as part of a dedicated BI team or COE.
