Job Summary

The Built Environment Program Manager will play a key role in optimizing the utility performance, resiliency, and sustainability of the company’s real estate portfolio. This role is responsible for managing utility infrastructure programs, identifying and implementing efficiency projects, and supporting enterprise-wide sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong project management and analytical skills with a deep understanding of the built environment, energy systems, and climate risk mitigation strategies.

Job Duties

  • Lead and coordinate in-depth property-level assessments of utility infrastructure (water, electric, gas, sewer) to identify improvement and cost-saving opportunities, including identification of government and utility incentive and rebates (Essential)
  • Provide data-driven insights to guide investment decisions related to energy, water, and infrastructure upgrades. (Essential)
  • Collaborate on the creation and execution of a company-wide utility management and efficiency strategy aligned with operational goals. (Essential)
  • Participate in vendor assessments to ensure alignment with corporate sustainability and environmental objectives.
  • Support development of annual sustainability reports, including tracking and disclosure of relevant data.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing climate resilience and adaptation strategies across facilities.
  • Apply statistical methods and data analysis techniques to measure project performance and forecast outcomes.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to monitor progress toward short- and long-term sustainability goals.
  • Use advanced data visualization tools like Power BI to model energy usage trends and improve forecasting capabilities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in in Engineering, Construction, Environmental Sciences or related field. (Required)
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Construction, Environmental Sciences or related field. (Preferred)
  • 5 years in experience in energy efficiency program development and implementation. (Required)
  • Strong understanding of building systems, infrastructure planning, and energy/water efficiency technologies.
  • Advanced computer proficiency including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet.
  • Experience in data manipulation and management.
  • Must have a valid driver's license
