Position Summary

The Benefits Coordinator provides administrative support to Suns Benefit and Leave teams, and plays an important role in ensuring team members receive excellent customer service.


  1. Review and provide timely, accurate responses to Team Member COVID-related inquiries and tracking.
  2. Routinely monitor incoming benefit and leave related questions , provide responses as appropriate, or assign to the proper team member who can assist.
  3. Assist with tuition reimbursement reviews and approvals.
  4. Assist with reviewing and approving bereavement requests.
  5. Assist with obtaining proper approval for daily benefit plan fundings. Assist with billing as needed.
  6. Assist with document management and retention of benefit & leave related documents in electronic team member file system.
  7. Routinely monitor incoming team member support tickets; provide responses, or assign to the appropriate member of team who can assist.
  8. Provide accurate and timely responses to inquires in a friendly, compassionate, and customer-focused manner.
  9. Assist with routine billing reconciliation and payment processing.
  10. Run routine reports and analytics for Benefit, Wellness, and Leave purposes.
  11. Responsible for management of COVID-related tracking, including reporting of positive cases, vaccination status, testing, and test results.
  12. Respond to team member questions regarding COVID protocol and provide direction to relevant resources.
  13. Provides administrative support to the Leave of Absence / ADA team and may occasionally assist with some case management with guidance.
  14. Other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, General Business or related. (Preferred)
  • 2 years years experience working in HR administration or similar field
  • Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Advanced computer proficiency
