Irrigation Technician

Do you enjoy being outdoors and working with your hands? We are looking for an Irrigation Technician for one of our manufactured housing communities. You will help us maintain the sprinkler system for the entire property.


As an Irrigation Technician you'll be responsible for ensuring the sprinkler system is working properly throughout the community, performing maintenance as needed.


  1. Inspects sprinkler system and grass coverage area throughout the Community to identify developing brown spots on lawns on a daily basis; determine area of cause of non-water and troubleshoot issues by cleaning out sprinkler heads, turning or rotating heads, and replacing missing sprinkler heads as needed.
  2. Run sprinkler zones to ensure system heads and pressure are working effectively daily; repair leaks, broken or turned heads as needed.
  3. Repair broken sprinkler heads (gushers).
  4. On a monthly basis, complete the filtration system clean out process by pulling the filter, draining the system, pressure cleaning the filter, refilling water, and replacing filter.
  5. Troubleshoot timer issues with non-functioning clocks; make necessary non-electric repairs as necessary.
  6. Troubleshoot water pressure issues by digging up ground in breakage area, making repairs as necessary.
  7. Safely operate vehicles for the purpose of performing job duties.
  8. Follow safety procedures while performing duties.
  9. Other duties and special projects as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous groundskeeping experience working with sprinkler systems
  • Knowledge of 24V sprinkler timers and wiring
  • Ability to endure seasonal temperatures as working conditions require constant outdoor work
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record
  • Proficient skills in operating various hand tools, power equipment, and commercial machinery
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
