Camp Jellystone (CJS)

 

 

OVERVIEW

The Data Analyst will facilitate business intelligence processes and procedures for Camp Jellystone. They will be responsible for the assembly, analysis and summarization of data to guide and corroborate business decisions. They will be responsible for constructing data and process models and interpreting data for business users. The Data Analyst will work closely with the Camp Jellystone operations team,  Camp Jellystone Marketing team, Camp Jellystone Retail team, and the Camp Jellystone & Sun business leadership to assist with the design, validation, and implementation of the database, reporting and business intelligence applications.  The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing high level administrative and analytical support to all levels.

JOB DUTIES

  • Collaborates with business team members to develop reports and dashboards using the database system.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of reporting, data analysis requests and needs for entire company.
  • Interprets data using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining.
  • Actively collaborates with data architecture team, business teams, project teams, and others to ensure analytic needs are considered and a part of all related projects.
  • Responsible for creation of Frenachisee (client) business review presentations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Involved in the implementation of user-focused tools to enable self-service functionality for ongoing data needs.
  • Oversees and develops ad-hoc predictive modeling (what-if scenarios).
  • Assists in maintaining business documentation for the data and data structure in the database.
  • Responsible for creating and managing all franchise (client) performance reporting for all departments.
  • Develops customized analysis and reporting support of the business and/or Franchise units and requested. 
  • Creates working reporting prototypes in excel for future functionality.
  • Audits current database capabilities and participates in the efforts to identify the right database reporting system for the company.
  • Scoping and estimation for new business project requests from any operating company/business unit.
  • Identifies the business strengths/weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
  • Assists sales in developing and managing new and existing marketing analysis tools.
  • Analyzes and completes data migration activities as needed for system conversions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Management or related field (Required)
  • 2+ years of experience in IT programming, networking, batabases, and hardware
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management and Business Analysis
  • Prior experience in the hospitality or campground industry
  • Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel (Preferred)
  • Familiarity with data exploration/visualization tools such as Domo, Tableau, Power BI Looker, etc. (Required)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work well with others inside as well as outside the organization
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
