Busser - Part Time

Water Oak Country Club (WAT)



Are you a customer service professional with experience in a restaurant environment? We are looking for a Busser to assist the restaurant as needed from washing dishes to ensuring a clean and inviting environment for guests.


As a Busser, you'll be responsible for clearing and setting restaurant tables, stocking all service stations, and assisting with the cleaning and sanitization of dishes. You'll ensure to provide excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the desire to create a welcoming environment.


  1. Clear and clean dishes and trash from tables, chairs and counters.
  2. Wipe down booths and chairs, move tables and chairs to appropriate place, and sweep floors as necessary.
  3. Reset tables and dining room for service in a timely manner.
  4. Transport all dirty dishes from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
  5. Empty trash cans throughout the restaurant on a regular basis.
  6. Assist servers with pre-bussing dishes as guests are finished eating.
  7. Perform shift opening and closing duties including flipping chairs, sweeping, vacuuming, etc.
  8. Maintain stock and cleanliness of server stations with necessary equipment including silverware, napkins, and condiments.
  9. Assist the host/hostess with greeting and seating guests as needed.
  10. Refill beverages and attend to the guests’ needs as necessary.
  11. Assist with washing and sanitizing dishes.
  12. Work neatly, safely and under the sanitary guidelines of the Health Department Rules and Regulations.  
  13. Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Education (some HS education required; HS Diploma or GED, preferred)
  • Previous restaurant or customer service experience, preferred
  • Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from hire date
  • Professional appearance
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
