Events Supervisor

River Run RV Resort (RRR)
Position Summary

The Events Supervisor helps with planning, designing, and implementing special and charitable events and activities for our guests and residents. They supervise the Events and Activities team members.

Duties

  1. Assists in the preparation of event programs and confirms all necessary preparations are in order, such as reservations for rooms, logistical needs, and proper staffing coverage.
  2. Coordinates, attends, supervises, sets-up, and cleans-up all activities and events within the resort.
  3. Supports Event Manager in designing, planning, organizing, and implementing all special and charitable events and activities.
  4. Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  5. Adheres to Suns Timekeeping Policy by reviewing, verifying accuracy, approving and submitting direct report(s) time recorded.
  6. Partners with Team Relations on team member counseling and recommendation of termination when appropriate.
  7. Conducts team member performance reviews and recommends compensation adjustments.
  8. Markets events within or outside the resort to ensure success.
  9. Provides friendly, quality, genuine hospitality to each guest, resident, and potential client.
  10. Collaborates with the Food & Beverage Department to supply appropriate menu offerings for each event/activity.
  11. Supports the Event Manager with the Events and Activities Departments purchasing, invoicing, and record keeping.
  12. Answers the telephone courteously and handles routine questions and inquiries regarding special events and activities.
  13. Other duties as assigned.
  14. Maintains accurate office and event supply inventories.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • 6 months previous event/activities experience
  • Innate desire to provide the very best guest experience
  • Excellent guest service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional resort image, including cleanliness and appearance standards
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
