We are looking for an RV Resort General Manager who has just the right balance of management and sales skills and a real knack for great customer service. You will oversee and direct the day-to-day operations for one of our RV resorts. This is a very guest-services oriented role, as much of our occupancy is short-term traffic. You will also have some sales and marketing duties to maximize residential occupancy. As an RV Resort General Manager, you'll be responsible for the operational and continued profitability of the resort and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for guests and residents. You'll be on-call 24 hours/day and will be in charge of everything from administrative activities, marketing, leasing and home sales of new and pre-owned homes, to property maintenance, budgeting, human resource management and, most importantly resident and guest relations.


  1. Ensure guests and residents receive the highest levels of service consistent with Sun's Customer Service philosophy.
  2. Handle and resolve escalated resident and guest complaints, inquiries and issues.
  3. Work with marketing team to increase reservations and occupancy and further promote the Sun RV Resorts brand.
  4. Ensure customers/residents receive a high level of service consistent with Sun's Customer Service philosophy.
  5. Oversee team member selection, training, scheduling and development and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  6. Enforce resort rules and regulations.
  7. Monitor monthly operating budgets and prepare monthly explanation of P&L variances.
  8. Assist RVP with preparation of annual operating budget.
  9. Ensure compliance with the federal, state and local agencies that regulate fair housing laws and resort operations.
  10. Market park models, pre-owned, and brokered homes for sale in the resort as well as prepare documents to list and sell homes.
  11. Oversee capital expenditure improvements.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 6 years property/resort management experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Previous sales and leasing experience, preferred
  • General knowledge of maintenance
  • Solid negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state and local laws pertaining to fair housing and employment law
  • Basic computer proficiency including email, internet and Microsoft Office Suite; experience using Yardi and/or RMS, preferred
  • Flexibility to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
  • Ability to live on-site within the resort (housing provided), if applicable
