Entertainment Manager

As an Entertainment Manager you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the theme park within the resort, including managing the guest experience, monitoring safety, and overseeing the theme park team members. You'll plan and coordinate a variety of events and performances, and interact with guests on a daily basis to ensure they have have an enjoyable experience.


  1. Coordinate team member selection, training, development and scheduling of direct reports and ensure all team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  2. Plan, coordinate, attend, and supervise all shows and events.
  3. Conduct rehearsals, develop new shows and upgrade existing shows as needed.
  4. Perform in shows on a daily basis.
  5. Train animals, such as horses, used in theme park activities throughout the season.
  6. Perform general maintenance on stage and props associated with shows as needed.
  7. Train team members on the appropriate care and safety of themselves and the animals they may work with in the theme park, including riding lessons.
  8. Support and assist the Activities department as needed.
  9. Market and promote the theme park in the local area, including participating in parades.
  10. Ensure animals are fed twice daily, in the both the morning and evening.
  11. Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition; report any malfunctioning equipment to maintenance.
  12. Prepare end of month and other reports as requested.
  13. Other duties as assigned.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years operational and management experience at a theme park or related recreation facility
  • Prior experience training and working with animals such as horses, preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email and internet
