Overview
Job Duties
- Assist in managing the budget for the Holiday Sales department, monitoring and maintaining effective financial control.
- Ensure that all operations within the department meet legal requirements, including gas safety certificates and portable appliance testing certificates.
- Help prepare and meet annual operating profit targets by closely controlling expenditures within the department.
- Work to maximise the occupancy of the holiday hire fleet, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Maintain accurate records for each Holiday Home, including those for carbon monoxide alarms, smoke alarms, and other safety equipment.
- Identify opportunities to enhance department operations and implement strategies to move the department forward.
- Set up and maintain an efficient system for handling all correspondence and departmental matters.
- Monitor the work standards of all cleaners within their areas of responsibility, ensuring that work meets the agreed operating standards.
- Ensure all chalets and Holiday Homes have keys accounted for and properly managed.
- Operate cash points and manage monies and the reception safe securely and efficiently.
- Ensure that all Welcome Packs are complete with corresponding programs, membership cards, and other necessary materials.
- Assist the Accommodation Manager in overseeing all aspects of guest accommodation, ensuring that all facilities meet the highest standards.
Requirements
- Good PC skills, including proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organisational abilities, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- A professional and outgoing personality with a clear understanding of maintaining company confidentiality.
- Ability to work under your own initiative, making decisions and solving problems independently.
- Flexibility to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities as needed.
