Overview
Job Duties
- Oversee and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Conduct health and safety checks and ensure all maintenance work complies with regulations. Support the team in maintaining safe work practices.
- Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance tasks, including repairs, inspections, and general upkeep of park facilities, equipment, and outdoor spaces.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of park facilities to identify and resolve maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Distribute workloads among the team, ensuring that all tasks are prioritised effectively and completed within set deadlines.
- Greet and interact with guests, addressing any maintenance-related concerns and ensuring timely resolutions.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, ensuring documentation is up to date and compliant with company policies.
- Assist in the movement and siting of holiday homes, working alongside the Sales Manager to ensure all operations run smoothly.
- Support the Maintenance Manager by overseeing external contractors, ensuring work is completed to high standards and within safety regulations.
- Ensure that all equipment and plant machinery are functioning correctly, conducting repairs or arranging for necessary servicing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within maintenance, preferably in a holiday park, or similar environment.
- Strong ability to lead and manage a team, including task delegation, staff training, and motivating team members to perform at their best.
- Proficient in general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical repairs, and equipment maintenance.
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to ensuring team compliance and workplace safety.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, team members, and external contractors.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the capability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak periods as required by the needs of the park.
