The role ensures that risks are identified, non-compliances are addressed, and safe working practices are embedded across the organisation.

  • Conduct training audits with newly appointed General Managers to demonstrate audit processes and expectations.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to independently investigate accidents, near-misses, and safety breaches as required. Ensuring findings are documented and appropriate preventative actions are recommended.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on health & safety compliance, supporting and working collaboratively with Operations Teams as needed.
  • Support the Head of Internal Audit & Risk with risk assessments and control gap monitoring.

  • Support external inspections, regulatory audits, ad-hoc compliance projects or investigations as required.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of health & safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, both written and verbal.
  • Collaborative approach & strong team orientated ethos.
  • Organised, methodical, with the ability to manage multiple compliance tasks and deadlines and able to work autonomously.
  • Confident working independently and collaborating across teams.
  • Professional, discreet, and committed to integrity and confidentiality
  • Hybrid role: approximately 2 or 3 days per week on-site, remaining days working from home. Willingness to travel regularly across the UK.
