Underwriting Processor

We are looking for an Underwriting Processor to provide assistance to our team members with the resident screening process. If you have experience in an processing environment, preferably residential housing, we want to talk to you!

OVERVIEW

As an Underwriting Processor, using prescribed guidelines, you'll assist with approving applications, and reviewing ID's and other conditions to ensure the accuracy of documentation and eligibility of customer's applying to live in our communities. You'll work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with an emphasis on attention to detail and problem solving.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Review potential resident applications and documentation for accuracy.
  2. Determine resident eligibility based on program guidelines.
  3. Review ID’s and additional documentation required for qualifying residents.
  4. Contact appropriate team members when necessary to relay decisions on applications and conditions.
  5. Process Tenant Change Request Forms and other documentation to verify compliance.
  6. Maintain knowledge of various company programs and underwriting guidelines.
  7. Enter manually faxed community applications into database system as needed.
  8. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1-2 years processing experience, preferably in a residential housing or similar environment
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and prioritize competing job duties
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including the ability to use email and internet
