Senior Network Administrator

Main Office (MOS)



Position Summary

Senior Network Administrators manage the day-to-day aspects of the corporate computing infrastructure including but not limited to PCs, servers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls and telecommunications equipment. They also monitor the network infrastructure to ensure compliance with the companys network security policies. Additionally, Senior Network Administrators identify and participate in projects to improve and advance the company infrastructure.


  1. Manages environment including application, patch and OS deployment management, configuration manager, and virtual application streaming
  2. Conducts network/security assessments and audits
  3. Provides escalation support for network related issues
  4. Implements network architectures including LANs/WANs, LAN Internetworking, and connections with the WAN environment
  5. Maintains and helps designs VoIP telephone systems
  6. Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing
  7. Establishes user environments, directories, and security for networks
  8. Mentors Jr. Network Administrators & Network Administrators by providing direction, monitoring, and feedback
  9. Develops documentation and processes for the team as needed
  10. Provides on-call and after-hours support as required
  11. Other duties as assigned
  12. Designs, architects, and maintains infrastructure environment including DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory
  13. Administers public domain registrar and DNS records
  14. Participates in routine maintenance windows
  15. Works escalated support issues related to core business solutions, WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, security, and remote access solutions
  16. Develops, initiates, maintains, and revises policies and procedures for the company's networking solutions, including core routers, switches, firewalls and other networking equipment
  17. Leads company's network design activities and maintains appropriate documentation in a large-scale environment


  • Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (Required)
  • 5 years administering Microsoft server environment DNS, DHCP, active directory, file and print
  • 3 years hands-on experience administering and managing virtual server environment
  • 5 years hands-on experience administering network router and switches
  • 6 months experience working in a disseminated network environment
  • 6 months experience with Batch, Shell, VBScript, or PERL scripting
  • 6 months Meraki Router, Switch, and AP experience
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineers (MCSEs)
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCNA)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines, while paying close attention to detail
  • Thorough knowledge of technical hardware, software and networking including: Microsoft Operating Systems, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, iSCSI, Microsoft Exchange, Cisco Call Manager and Cisco Unity, and Wifi
