How would you like to work in a fun, fast-paced, and customer-focused role? Do you enjoy organizing cool events and activities? We are looking for an Activities Coordinator to help make our guests have a wide range of “fun things” they can participate in while visiting one of our resorts.

JOB DUTIES

  1. Plan, coordinate, attend, and supervise all activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners.
  2. Assist with producing a calendar of events for the resort.
  3. Set-up and clean-up after events.
  4. Leads in being an enthusiastic brand ambassador.
  5. Assists in creating a fun environment for staff and guests to have a memorable vacation.
  6. Entertain guests while wearing the Yogi Bear costume.
  7. Assist other activities team members in getting dressed in the Yogi Bear costumes and guiding them during activities.
  8. Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance, vendor utilization, income, and expenses for each activity.
  9. Keep character costumes maintained; including regular cleaning, brushing and storage.
  10. Assist with training Activity department team members and volunteers.
  11. Assist with producing a calendar of events for the next calendar season, while ensuring to stay within budget expectations.
  12. Assist with preparing newsletters and distribute to resort residents and guests.
  13. Help with and organize fundraising activities to support the department.
  14. Help maintain a tracking sheet to monitor attendance, vendor utilization, income and expenses for each activity.
  15. Assist with ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manager.
  16. Assists in keeping Recreation Center clean inside and out.
  17. Maintain accurate office and activity supply inventories.
  18. Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
  19. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outgoing, friendly personality
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organization skills
  • Ability to work well with others, inside as well as outside the company
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
