Job Summary

Activities Supervisors are responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a diverse range of recreational activities and events at our resorts. They lead and support the activities team, ensuring all programs are executed smoothly, safely, and in alignment with guest satisfaction goals. This role includes supervising team members, managing daily schedules, and contributing to a fun and engaging guest experience.

Job Duties

  • Plans, coordinates, attends, and supervises all activities such as picnics, sporting events, dances, and dinners. (Essential)
  • Maintains a balance sheet for each activity showing income, expenses, attendance, and vendors used. (Essential)
  • Reviews, approves, and submits all invoices for payment in a timely manner; documents all payments. (Essential)
  • Balances money collected through the day and reconciles the cash register, ensuring to follow the cash handling policies and procedures, prepares bank deposits. (Essential)
  • Markets events within or outside the resort to ensure success. (Essential)
  • Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures.
  • Produces a calendar of events for the next calendar season while staying within expectations. Prepares monthly and annual budgets.
  • Sets-up and cleans-up after events.
  • Prepares food for small events and collaborates with a caterer for larger events.
  • Maintains adequate office and activity supply inventories.
  • Prepares weekly newsletter and distributes to resort residents and guests.
  • Organizes fundraising activities to support the department.
  • Ensures all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
  • Answers the telephone courteously; handles routine questions regarding activities.
  • Maintains petty cash fund, turning in petty cash request upon reaching $100.00 in receipts for reimbursement.
  • Prepares end-of-month and other reports as requested by RV Resort Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Ability to work well independently as well as on a team
  • Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use email and the internet
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexibility to work events during non-business hours
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to negotiate prices/contracts on behalf of the resort
  • Must have a valid driver's license
